Cedric the bear arrives in Amsterdam to visit his dear friend, Thomas, a former guide dog. Thomas has just had eye surgery and Cedric, who is very kind, is keen to offer his support. He has been looking forward to a nice holiday in Amsterdam, staying with Thomas on his charming houseboat; little does Cedric know what surprises lie in store for him when they visit the wonderful Rijksmuseum. Cedric loves the stunning paintings by Rembrandt, Vermeer and Van Gogh, and the beautiful Delft ceramics, but most of all, he is fascinated by the wonderful dolls’ houses, unaware of the secrets they contain. Thomas, however, knows all about the magical dolls’ houses.
Cedric’s relaxing holiday is about to turn into a very big adventure full of magic and a race for justice!

Cedric in Amsterdam is based on the original physical bear created by Katie Eggington, illustrated by Anne Bowes and written by yours truly! You can find out more at www.cedricthebear.com
Cedric in Amsterdam is now available on Amazon and other online bookstores.

Do you like owls? I do. You’ll meet some owls native to the Netherlands in this story. I had some very helpful conversations with RSPB and their Dutch counterpart, Vogelbescherming, as part of my research for this book. Do check out their fantastic websites at
